Zimbabwe President Mnangagwa will be represented by his foreign affairs minister at the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in London next week, the state news agency stated.
A senior government official is stated as saying that President Mnangagwa will be leaving for the UN General Assembly on that day.
The same official verified that an invitation to Monday's funeral was sent to President Mnangagwa.
Earlier, the British High Commission in Zimbabwe dismissed as fake a letter circulating on social media which claimed the president was not invited to the funeral.
The Queen's funeral is expected to be attended by royalty and world leaders. The majority of leaders have been asked to arrive on commercial flights and told they will be bussed en masse from a site in west London.
