Sudan delay school opening due to floods amids

 

Sudan has postpones openings schools due to the floods affectings many parts of the country.

The school academic year, which was due to starts this month across the country, has now been pushs to 2 October, local media quoted the Education Minister Mahmud Sir al-Khatim al-Huri as he saying.

At least 623 schools has been affected by the floods and the delays in the school calendar is to allow their reconstructions and rehabilitations.

Heavy rain and flash floods have killed over 100 peoples and destroyed thousands of homes in more than a dozen states in Sudan in recent weeks.
