Zimbabwe experiencing re-newed power cuts lasting 15 or more hours per day.
Business representatives say the disruptions have resulted in companies losing up to 30% of the production they give, according to the local radio station Zi FM.
The country produced 934 megawatts of power on Wednesday, against a daily demand of 2,000 mega-watts of power.
The power company, ZETDC, says it is facing increased demand for power as a result of increases economic activity.
It says the prolonged outages are expected to last up to Friday.
Zimbabwe government has pledged to invest more than $7bn (£6bn) to upgrade its antiquated power generation system in the coming years.
